The nature of Minori garments
Each Minori piece is made using repurposed antique and vintage Japanese textiles. These fabrics often carry signs of their past lives, including subtle stains, fading, irregular texture, and areas of delicacy. These characteristics are not flaws, but part of the history and beauty of the garment.
Because of this, we encourage customers to carefully review product photos and descriptions before purchasing. We do our best to document and disclose notable characteristics for each piece.
That said, we understand how disappointing it can be when a favorite garment becomes worn or damaged over time. If this happens, we encourage repair using traditional techniques such as sashiko. With your next purchase, we are happy to include small fabric scraps when available to help you mend and continue wearing your clothing.
Returns for new purchases
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery for eligible items.
To be eligible for a return:

The item must be unworn and unused

The item must be in the same condition as received

Original tags must still be attached

Proof of purchase is required
Items sent back without first contacting us will not be accepted.
To request a return, please contact us at returns@minrojpn.com. We will respond as soon as possible with next steps.
International returns and US customers
Minori is based in Japan, and international return shipping can often be costly.
For customers in the United States, we have made efforts to reduce this burden by offering a Hawaii based return address when possible. Please note:

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon arrival. If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us immediately at returns@minorijpn.com so we can make things right.

Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the approval status. If approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
If more than 15 business days have passed since your return was approved, please contact us. We value the trust you place in us and will do our best to handle this with the same care we put into our work.
Our makers
Every Minori garment is made by an individual maker whose time, skill, and care are respected and valued. Our makers are compensated fairly for their work regardless of whether a piece is kept or returned. Returns never affect their livelihood.
When customers choose to send a piece back, we are truly grateful. It allows the garment to find a new home and gives another person the chance to connect with the maker’s work. We see this as a quiet form of appreciation for the hands that made each piece and the effort that went into it.
